How to: http://mobdropro.com/localcast-kodi-switch-for-kodi-localcast/
LocalCast can cast to a Chromecast, Roku, Nexus Player, Fire TV or Stick, Sony Bravia, Samsung, LG, Panasonic and other SmartTVs, Sonos, Xbox 360, Xbox One or other DLNA Devices.
Switch will install the necessary file needed to cast from Kodi.
Install Kodi and run for initial setup.
Install LocalCast.
Install Switch and run, done!
Switch will install the playercorefactory.xml file for you, so no need to worry about that part!
This app is not affiliated with Kodi, LocalCast, Chromecast, Google, playercorefactory, etc.
I have an android device I am trying to set up playercorefactory.xml on, to let me use both ES Media Player and Gallery.
However, I can't seem to get it to work. I have tried both just launching the app, and using am. Launching does nothing, and I don't know how to trouble shoot. Using am, which is what the wiki showed, I can trouble shoot a bit, using the term. Running the same command in a term, am start -n com.android.gallery3d/.app.MovieActivity -d /path/to/file.mp4, gives me a permission denial 'this requires android.permission.INTERACT_ACROSS_USERS_FULL'
Here is my testing playercorefoctory.xml:
Anybody have any advice? Is this doable? I have root, so is there anyway for me to 'give' kodi 'android.permission.INTERACT_ACROSS_USERS_FULL'?
